several issues with the server

Postby beeversf » 14 Jul 2010, 08:22

Not sure whether to have multiple posts or one but here goes.

1. Photo album is very slow when a lot of photographs are on it. Even though I have sub-albums etc. Started to look at the classes to see where the performance hit is but does anyone have an answer?

2. Horde client does not display html - converts it all to text. Is this an option which I can change or just a feature? Does some use a different web client?

3. My sagem streamer ( client) takes forever to search for music ( 6000 songs) but with the fritzbox server ( same network) is very fast. Does anybody know why? I am thinking of going back to the Fritzbox for this function but seems a shame because I want that for the auto internet calls and as a main router.

Thanks &
Best regards
Andy

For question 2, I've done it but I can't remember how.

This URL is in my history so it might be a good place to start for you:

Just an update.

I have given up on Horde and gone to roundcube with a mobile-cube theme which adds in a calendar.

I have gone back to the Fritz box for media streaming.

I have gone to plogger for the photo album. Bubba still goes to 98% cpu (apache) when it loads pics so will need to find out where the bottle neck is as I guess the original is the same. But it is a far better one with good themes. I thought it might be loading the pictures but these load fast though a standard viewer. Maybe a class issue - instantiation taking too much memory ....

Any thoughts please let me know.

Best regards
